Amelie Farren Grand Rapids reviews
Terrible Sound
In a word - excellent. The instruments were so much better than the vocals that at times you could not even tell what the song was. It seemed as if each band member was trying to overpower the others resulting in a lack of cohesiveness as a group. Surely, the musicians are much louder than the end product would indicate. We probably did not hear a total of five lines clearly all night; which is a shame since Amelie sounded awful for the few brief moments you could actually tell she was singing.
The staff at the Inn of the Mountain Gods was by far the worst sound-mixing we have ever encountered. We have been to hundreds of live shows at dozens of venues and this was period. Worst. Sound. Ever. The reason for our being there in the first place turned out to be a bummer. We were very much enjoying our visit until, in every way and the staff at the Inn of the Mountain Gods was excellent...
